Random Card Wednesday #5

For this week I have a cute card that I made with a Bella stamp (which you already know that I adore!!!).

I'll tell you how it started... My sweet friend, Ronit, had to make a card for a bachelorette party so I joined her in the process and we made some cards... well, she made a card and I made a card.. that's "some cards", right?

So, with that "wedding" theme in the air I made a cute card with one of the images from one of the wedding themed Bella stamps (I don't remember the name - sorry):
The letters were cut in Ronit's newly purchased Critcut. The thing is... I used white cardstock to cut those letters but when I looked at the card with white letters, something just wasn't right, d'you know what I mean? So, I colored them red with my Sharpies (gotta love those Sharpies).

I used some foam adhesive tape on this card to make the red "block" pop up a little bit more.

Since the stamped image was glued to the raised red "block", I didn't even had to use additional foam adhesive tape at the top of the stamped image:
The last picture just shows the coloring I've made with some water pencils. I love that soft look it gives:
Thanks for looking everyone!
I hope you had a great year and will have a wonderful new year!

Handmade Page Thursday #4

This week I have another special page for you from my wedding album:

It's another hibrid page... I turned the background to sepia and left our figures in vivid color.
As you can see, the background is an old wall, so I cut 2 corners into 3 equal squares in each corner. That cutting pattern goes along great with the wall image in the background.

I addition, the frame of the photo was torn instead of cut to make it look a bit older than it is.

Hope you like it.

Random Card Wednesday #4

Well, this time I have another Color Inspiration Card.

I used the Kristina Werner's Color Inspiration #5:
The background of the card is made out of white cardstock that I embossed with my Cuttlebug's "Thanks" embossing folder.

Here are a few more angles of the card:

I love those olive-green gems. I got them from my friends for my last birthday. Thanks you guys!

Thank you all for looking!

Handmade Page Thursday #3

It's that day again! YAY!!

Today I'll show you a page that I've made that took me a long long time (although it looks relatively simpe).

It took me so long because I didn't have my Nestabilities yet so I had to cut the little frame with a cutting knife and use a ruller to measure the frame... In short, a LONG time.

Note to self: Next time, wait for the Nestabilities to arrive before choosing the hard way.

Since I didn't ask for the people's permission to post their pictures in my blog, I blured their faces. The picutre is less cute than it is without the blur, but - What can you do?

Thanks for looking!

Random Card Wednesday #3

For the third week of my RCW I decided to start the Kristina Werner's Color Inspirations from the start.

After looking through all the amazing color combos she has in her blog I choosed Color Inspiration #3:

And here's what I came up with:

It's a very simple card that I made from white cardstock the I ran through my Cuttlebug with my "birds & swirls" embossing folder.

Here's the card from anothr angle:

You can see that I used foam adhesive tape to raise the Prima flowers' "platforms".

I think it has a classic look. What do you think?

Handmade Page Thursday #2

Yay! It's that day of the week again and I have a brand new page to share with you today right off my wedding album. It's another hybrid page (digitally enhanced photo on a handmade page).
I turned the background to black & white and left our figures in vivid color. Then I made 2 strips in 2 different widths out of the right end of the photo and glued them with a little bit of space between them.
To soften the page a bit, I added a hand-drawn doodle with a white gel pen.

It's one of my most favorite photos.

Random Card Wednesday #2

It's that time of the week again - RCW. YAY!!

To tell you the truth? I didn't think I'd have another card ready in time. But I do! I surprise myself once in a while... lol..

Anyway, on to the card. I decided to use some colors that I don't use generally.
So I used dark red, orange and blue.

I loved this card so much that I decided to take a bunch of it:

What do you think? I hope you like it.

Thanks for looking!

Zipi-di-do-da Zipi-di-hey!

I love Disney. Anyone who knows me knows that I'm addicted to all animated films.
Even when I create something I have a playlist of about 15 movies that I play repeatedly and listen to while I create. I have Disney's Aladdin there (which I adore) and the fox & the hound with a few more cute movies.

But enough about that - The next letters challenge on T4F (Table for five) is a Disney challenge for the fourth letter in the Hebrew alphabet ("ד" or "Dalet").

So, I've made a set of cards with my most loved characters from Disney:

Donald Duck

Goofy

Pluto

And my most favorite, Eeyore
I love them all but Eeyore is just so like me... lol.. I don't know if that's good but I love him.

What do you think?

Handmade Page Thursday

As you saw yesterday, I started a tradition called "Random Card Wednesday" (or RCW, for all you acronym-lovers).
Well, I thought - Why not use another day of the week to post album pages that I've made?

So, Here you have it - Handmade Page Thursday (or HPT... I think I'm becoming an acronym-lover).
I'll try and post each Thursday one of the album pages I'll create during the week.

Let me just explain, all the pages that I'll show under the HPT title will be very simple & clean pages. Black background with a lot of cutting patterns and a few little decorations. Not the usual scrapbooking look. That's the most common look of wedding albums here in Israel and since I'm starting my own album design business I decided to show you some of my samples.

I already showed you a few days ago one of the pages I've created. This is another one from the same album:

It's an hybrid page. I blured the background and added a shadow to our figures and printed it out. Then, I rounded 3 corners and divided one of the corners to 3 strips. To add a little sparkle to the page, I added some glitters along the belt on my dress (which you can see on the right picture).

I hope you like how it turned out.

Random Card Wednesday

I've decided to go a head and start a tradition in my blog to post a card once a week.
Since today I have one ready, I've decided to choose Wednesday as the card post's day.

So what I'll do is try (and I hope I can make it) to upload a card for you each week on Wednesday. Hence the name - "Random Card Wednesday"...

The first RCW (it has an acronym! YAY!) Card will be this one: It's a card I made a few weeks ago when I had to make one in a rush for a wedding...
I used my new corner rounder (that ronit bought for me in the US - Thanks honey!) to make the scalloped edge at the bottom.

Digital Effects Mini Album

I wanted to experiment with a few digital effects that I found over the web so I decided to make a mini album with some of the new effects that downloaded...
And there are no better photos to do that with than my friends Ron & Ronit's wedding photos.

So I made a mini album to show off my newly downloaded digital effects:
The first picture is the first page in the mini album.I've used a black&white effect here and printed it on a transparency paper. Then, I added some glitter to Ronit's dress and bracelet for that extra sparkle.

The second picture is a page in which I've use an effect called "the big picture".This effect divides the photo into small pieces and distort the pieces a bit.. Love this effect!
I couldn't resist adding a prima flower and a matching gem to the corner there...

The next picture is the puzzle effect:You can choose the amount of puzzle pieces you need and the digital effect creates the puzzle for you.
note to self: don't use a sheet of rice paper in the bind-it-all when it's not in between to pieces of cardstock...

The last (but not least) picture is the last page of the mini-album.

I used an effect called "cracked wall" ( you can see why it has that name).
I LOVE this photo!!!

These are just a few samples of the digital effects mini-album.
I hope you like it so far.

What about some of my own stuff?

It's been a long time since I've uploaded some of my own creation which had nothing to do with our T4F blog.

I've been super busy with setting up my site (there's a new link to it on the right sidebar) and my business and I haven't had any time to do a lot of things just for me.

Anyways, I finally got the time to sit down and upload some of my recent creations and share them with you all.

Let me start with a page that I've made for my wedding album. I'll only explain that here in Israel, the wedding album pages are usually very simple with a few small decoration so don't be surprised if the page doesn't look like the usual scrapbook page you're used to seeing.
This is a picture of our first slow dance at our wedding. I love this picture. It shows how in love & happy we are :) We didn't pay any attention to what's happening around us.
