Handmade Page Thursday #8

Listen and Listen closely... I'm going to say it once. I've had enough of my own wedding picutres!!!
I can't look at them anymore. I know them all by heart and I've hade enough of the Layouts that I make for them..

So, Since I made a few more and haven't showed them to you yet, I decided to show you all the layouts of my wedding album at once and stop showing my own wedding pictures for a while.

Only 4 layouts, I know. But I decided to get it over with... And I bet that you started to get tired of them too... Even if you won't admit it...

So there. Now we're done. Starting from next week I'm going to show you a bunch of layouts of a different couple (Ronit & Ron - Say hi!) and when I'll run out of their wedding layouts... we'll see... Who knows??

Thanks for looking!
Have a great weekend!

I'm back... + Random Card Wednesday #8

I'm back... Can't say I'm all better now because I don't want to wake up the beings that are responsible for my health lately.... but - I'm back.

I got an award earlier this week and now I'm back for the weekly tradition - the RCW! YAY!!!
This time I have a card that I made as a RAK (Random Act of Kindness - I recetly learned this term...) for a friend of mine from work that did me a few favors so I had to let her know I appreciate her.

As you've probably guessed (or not) I took the inspiration for the color combo from Kristina (she's turning out to be my blogging goddess.. hehe..).
I know. I know. These are not the exact colors I should have used but I don't have any SU! colors and these are the supplies that I have.. so... tough...

Anyways, I took some extra shots of the card from all sorts of angles since I love it and, well, since I had to give it away. So enjoy:

Well, I had to take one more picture of the card on my desk, right? Thanks for looking!
Have a great day!

An Award - YAY!!!

My dear blogging friend, Juanita (thanks honey!), gave me & our SBS19 group a new award:The rules are:

1. Display the award on your site.
2. Put a link to the person who sent you the award.
3. Give the award to 8 more people.
4. Notify them of receiving the award.
5. Advise them to pick it up at your site.

Following is the translation of the Portuguese words and the rules for the award:
"This blog award invests and believes in proximity -(creating friendships)!" [meaning, that blogging makes us 'close' -being close through proxy].

These are the other words to be included with the award:
These blogs are exceedingly charming.
These bloggers aim to find and be friends.
They are not interested in prizes or self-aggrandizement.
Our hope is that when the ribbon of these awards are cut, even more friendships are propagated.
Please give more attention to these bloggers!
Deliver this award to 8 bloggers who must choose 8 more and include this written text into the body of their award.

So I made it a double award - I'll explain:
Since I have two blogs (one in English & one in Hebrew) I decided to give this award to 8 English blogs and 8 Hebrew blogs.
You are more than welcome to check out my Hebrew blog and visit the Habrew blogs that I gave the award to... You'll probably won't understand a word but you'll enjoy their projects, I'm sure.

The people that I decided to give this award to are:

I love all these blogs. Can't get enough of their posts :)
Have a great day, Thanks for looking!

Apology

This week I wasn't able to update the blog.
I have the flu again (it's the third time in the last three months) so I haven't been creating anything lately...

I hope that next week I'll be able to keep up with all my blog's stuff. I'm sorry.

Thank you for understanding.

Handmade Page Thursday #7

Today it has to be a very short post -I'm so sorry.. I have a lot ( and I do mean A LOT) of things to do at work and at home and yet I want to do what I promised I'll do each week..

So there you have it, a puzzle page for the HPT this week:
The cutting of the 3 corner pieces was relatively simple since I had the pazzle piece marking already printed on the photo so I just needed to cut along the line.
I hope you like this page, and I'm sorry, again, for posting such a short post this week. I promise I'll try to do better next time.
Have a great weekend!

Random Card Wednesday #7

Hi All!
How've been? I hope everyone had a great week so far.

Today I want to show you one of my most favorite cards that I made a few weeks ago.
I used some scraps of paper that I had left and didn't want to throw out because I love the pattern and colors of them:

I used a light blue prima flower that I adore and placed it on a round "platform" that I've created with my Nestabilities.
In the middle of the flower I use a white gem to add that additional sparkle that I was looking for.I use some Queen&Co letters for the sentiment. They're so cool! you can't see it in the picture but they have a glossy look&feel to them.

Hope you enjoyed the card for this week's RCW.

Thanks for looking!

Handmade Page Thursday #6

Happy Thursday everyone!

Have you ever wanted to have a doodling rub-on but couldn't get one at the moment you needed it? well, I have...
And let me tell you, I have one of the strongest "cravings" when it comes to buying scrapbooking supplies. This time I rejected the temptation and created my own doodling..

What's the big deal, you ask? I'll tell you - I've never done it before. I mean, besides doodling the edges of a card in a dash, dot, dash, dot pattern.

Anyways, I've made this page (that has a very cool "fan" photo at the bottom):
and I added the doodling at the top corner all by myself... I'm so proud!
Look at that:
I liked it so much that I took an additional picture just for the doodling.
Well, now it's official - I'm a doodling freak...

Thanks for looking, Come again!

Random Card Wednesday #6

It's that day of the week again, guys!

And yet again, I have another one of Kristina's Color Inspirations (#4):

I chose this color combo and it's one of my favorite combo on her blog.

Anyways, as you probably know, I don't have any StampinUp! papers or colors or anything so I had to improvise with the stuff I do have in my craft room.
This is what I came up with:

To be honest, I didn't like the result.. but my DH did, so I don't know about this card. What do you think?

This is just another picture of the beautiful prima flower tha I used. I just love them!
I use a couple of silver snaps (that I didn't even know I had) to hold down the flower together.

Thanks for looking!

Handmade Page Thursday #5

Happy New Year everyone!

I hope you all partied your a** off last night at the begining of this brand new year.
Wow, 2009.. How would've thought? I thought there would be flying cars by now... what a shame...

Anyways, back to business.
With the celebration of the new year, I'd like to share with you 2 special pages that I've made with the same photo in my wedding album:
This is the first one. As you can see, it's a super simple hibrid page. The only thing I've done is turn the whole picture into Black&White and left my rose in vivid colors.
The ripped frame was achived by... What d'you know? actually ripping the frame... lol...
And that's it. That's the whole page. Why is it that simple? I'm glad you asked.

It has another page that goes along with it (the seconde page-to-show today):
The seconde page is actully a transparency paper with the same photo printed on it. I made sure that the photo on the transparency paprt wouldn't align perfectly according to the first page that you saw earlier. That way the image gets that "ghostly" look to it, don't you think? with all the doubling of th shodows and stuff? I have to say that the picture is a bit dark due to bad lighting that day so the page looks a bit gloomy but it's actually not that dark.. I'll try to post a better picture as soon as I'll manage to take one.

The last picture is just to show you the cool thing about using transparency paper:
When you turn the page you can still see the photo and it even has the texture of the page bafore it. Well, I love it.

Thank for looking and again - Have a great new year, everyone!
