Random Card Wednesday #15

Hi everyone!

Today I'll show you four cards!
All those cards were created on a very cold Saturday at Ronit's house.

After completing this semester's exams, Ronit demanded that we get together and create some things.
So, she created (or started to create.. lol) a gift for her husband to celebrate their 5 years of being together. I created four cards.

This is the first one:
In this card I did a mistake with the stamp that I used. Apparently, the stamp wasn't mounted right on the wooden block so when I stamped with it, the stamp was crooked.
So I took a piece of white ribbon and hide the stamp under it... hehe.. I know. I know. It's cheating. But hey, It's a "just for my own fun" card. So I think it's OK.

Here's the second card:

In this card I used one of Ronit's stamps of a cupcake (which I usually don't like to use).
I used the black stazon ink and painted the cupcake with some rubber stamp markers.

Here's the third card:
In this card, I used Ronit's Cricut machine for the "Thinking of You" sentiment.
I don't know if you've noticed it.. But on those three cards I used the same pattern paper. I used that paper to the max (and still have scraps for a couple more cards... hmm, maybe I'll work on something today.. ).
The other thing I used is the scallop border punch (again, it's Ronit's border punch). I'm awful at punching with it, but I'll get it eventually.

And, last but not least:

Again, I used the "Thinking of You" sentiment that I cut with Ronit's Cricut machine.
For the background I stamped a lot of little heart in red and pink ink on a grey cardstock. I love that color combo.

Well, that's it for today.
I hope you liked it. Have a great day!

P.S.
I want to thank Ronit from the bottom of my heart - You're a true friend! And your stamps aren't so bad either... hehe...

Random Card Wednesday #11

Can't believe I got so far...

OK. Let's get right down to business. I don't really celebrate Valentine's day with my husband (we love each other each and every day so we don't need a special day bla bla bla...).
But, and that's a big BUT.. All those awesome and sweet cards I see over the web these past few weeks got me. I just had to make some love cards.

So, as always, I turned to my scrapping idol for "advise" and I found this beautiful card over at Kristina's blog.
Since I have a huge collection of buttons in a veriety of colors, I decided that I wanted to make one too.
So I saw the video, listened to the instruction carefully and then I just made my own thing:
I used a chocolate brown cardstock for the card base and about 20 white or clear buttons.
I addition, I used a white gel pen for the border that I doodled and for the "...love...love..." that I wrote there...

This card is super easy and fun to make. The hardest part of making it was picking out the buttons...

Here's a small close up on those buttons.

Supplies:
Cardstock - Chocolate Brown (no specific brand);
Accessories - about 20 buttons (white, clear and cream colored);
Tools - Paper trimmer/scorer (Provocraft), White gel pen.

Handmade Page Thursday #10

Hi again!
Like I promised, today I'll continue showing my sample album.

This is the first page in Ron & Ronit's section of the sample album. I decided that each couple will get about 20 layout and that way the album will hold 3 different couples.

Anyways, Here today's page:
I used Ronit's Cricut to cut out those vanilla letters. I cut them out at about 3 inches high.
In addition, I used a silver gel pen to ouline the big photo (and added a little doodle at the top).
As you can see, the photos are very similar, that's why I made only one of them in color. Just to give it an different focal point, more or less...

That's it for today, I hope you enjoyed it.

Random Card Wednesday #9

Hello again,

I finally had some time this last weekend to create some cards so I have a brand new card to show you all:
This is a card that I made at Ronit's house on our last "get together" before all her exams kick in...

I used some craft cardstock for the base of the card and used some of Ronit's doodling stmaps on it. On top of that I added my new Bella stamp (yes, yes, I gave in and bought a few... so don't be surprised to see a lot of them from now on). I stamped my Bella on a vanilla cardstock and I used a bright pink for matting it. I'll have the whole recipe at the end of the post.

I just had to use some plain dimensionals to pop the Bella off the craft cardstock.

Now, I took the last picture just to show you the coloring that I've made (I had fun doing that!):

Card Recipe:
Cardstock colors: Craft, Bright Pink, Vanilla (no fancy brand name. just from the typical craft store here).
Stamps: Ballonabella (StampingBella); Dot Flourishes (Inkadinkado - Clear Stamps Set).
Inks: Green Galore, Real Red(All Stampin' Up!); Black (Stazon).
Accessories: Scallop border punch (Fiskars), Blender pen, Dimensionals.

Thanks for looking!
Have a great day!

Handmade Page Thursday #8

Listen and Listen closely... I'm going to say it once. I've had enough of my own wedding picutres!!!
I can't look at them anymore. I know them all by heart and I've hade enough of the Layouts that I make for them..

So, Since I made a few more and haven't showed them to you yet, I decided to show you all the layouts of my wedding album at once and stop showing my own wedding pictures for a while.

Only 4 layouts, I know. But I decided to get it over with... And I bet that you started to get tired of them too... Even if you won't admit it...

So there. Now we're done. Starting from next week I'm going to show you a bunch of layouts of a different couple (Ronit & Ron - Say hi!) and when I'll run out of their wedding layouts... we'll see... Who knows??

Thanks for looking!
Have a great weekend!

Random Card Wednesday #7

Hi All!
How've been? I hope everyone had a great week so far.

Today I want to show you one of my most favorite cards that I made a few weeks ago.
I used some scraps of paper that I had left and didn't want to throw out because I love the pattern and colors of them:

I used a light blue prima flower that I adore and placed it on a round "platform" that I've created with my Nestabilities.
In the middle of the flower I use a white gem to add that additional sparkle that I was looking for.I use some Queen&Co letters for the sentiment. They're so cool! you can't see it in the picture but they have a glossy look&feel to them.

Hope you enjoyed the card for this week's RCW.

Thanks for looking!

Handmade Page Thursday #6

Happy Thursday everyone!

Have you ever wanted to have a doodling rub-on but couldn't get one at the moment you needed it? well, I have...
And let me tell you, I have one of the strongest "cravings" when it comes to buying scrapbooking supplies. This time I rejected the temptation and created my own doodling..

What's the big deal, you ask? I'll tell you - I've never done it before. I mean, besides doodling the edges of a card in a dash, dot, dash, dot pattern.

Anyways, I've made this page (that has a very cool "fan" photo at the bottom):
and I added the doodling at the top corner all by myself... I'm so proud!
Look at that:
I liked it so much that I took an additional picture just for the doodling.
Well, now it's official - I'm a doodling freak...

Thanks for looking, Come again!

Random Card Wednesday #6

It's that day of the week again, guys!

And yet again, I have another one of Kristina's Color Inspirations (#4):

I chose this color combo and it's one of my favorite combo on her blog.

Anyways, as you probably know, I don't have any StampinUp! papers or colors or anything so I had to improvise with the stuff I do have in my craft room.
This is what I came up with:

To be honest, I didn't like the result.. but my DH did, so I don't know about this card. What do you think?

This is just another picture of the beautiful prima flower tha I used. I just love them!
I use a couple of silver snaps (that I didn't even know I had) to hold down the flower together.

Thanks for looking!

Random Card Wednesday #4

Well, this time I have another Color Inspiration Card.

I used the Kristina Werner's Color Inspiration #5:
The background of the card is made out of white cardstock that I embossed with my Cuttlebug's "Thanks" embossing folder.

Here are a few more angles of the card:

I love those olive-green gems. I got them from my friends for my last birthday. Thanks you guys!

Thank you all for looking!

Random Card Wednesday #3

For the third week of my RCW I decided to start the Kristina Werner's Color Inspirations from the start.

After looking through all the amazing color combos she has in her blog I choosed Color Inspiration #3:

And here's what I came up with:

It's a very simple card that I made from white cardstock the I ran through my Cuttlebug with my "birds & swirls" embossing folder.

Here's the card from anothr angle:

You can see that I used foam adhesive tape to raise the Prima flowers' "platforms".

I think it has a classic look. What do you think?

Handmade Page Thursday #2

Yay! It's that day of the week again and I have a brand new page to share with you today right off my wedding album. It's another hybrid page (digitally enhanced photo on a handmade page).
I turned the background to black & white and left our figures in vivid color. Then I made 2 strips in 2 different widths out of the right end of the photo and glued them with a little bit of space between them.
To soften the page a bit, I added a hand-drawn doodle with a white gel pen.

It's one of my most favorite photos.

Thanks for looking!
