Random Card Wednesday #17

Happy Wednesday everyone!

Today I'll be posting a short post today, I'm not feeling too good right now.
Anyways, this is another Bella card that I made when I first got those stamps:
I love those stamps! I can't get enough of them.
Really - If you don't have them - get them!

The cute thing I did with this card is to decorate a couple of the rounded corners with tiny gems that I got for my birthday and forgot all about them:

I love how Bella has a shadow.. lol...

Thanks for joining me again! I'm sorry (again) for the short post this time.
Have a great day!

Another Card by Sketch Video

Hi Everyone! It's me again..

Today I want to share with you a new video that I made yesterday (it's getting easier and easier to make them).
Like last time I used a sketch and a color inspiration, here are the links (if you want to look it up):
- I used the first sketch (from the 2 sketches 4 you blog) in Laura's Sketch 20:

I made a list of sketches and color inspirations that I wanted to use and these two were at the top of the list.

Anyways, Let's get down to business. Here's today's video:

I hope you enjoyed it.
Have a great day!

Random Card Wednesday #15

Hi everyone!

Today I'll show you four cards!
All those cards were created on a very cold Saturday at Ronit's house.

After completing this semester's exams, Ronit demanded that we get together and create some things.
So, she created (or started to create.. lol) a gift for her husband to celebrate their 5 years of being together. I created four cards.

This is the first one:
In this card I did a mistake with the stamp that I used. Apparently, the stamp wasn't mounted right on the wooden block so when I stamped with it, the stamp was crooked.
So I took a piece of white ribbon and hide the stamp under it... hehe.. I know. I know. It's cheating. But hey, It's a "just for my own fun" card. So I think it's OK.

Here's the second card:

In this card I used one of Ronit's stamps of a cupcake (which I usually don't like to use).
I used the black stazon ink and painted the cupcake with some rubber stamp markers.

Here's the third card:
In this card, I used Ronit's Cricut machine for the "Thinking of You" sentiment.
I don't know if you've noticed it.. But on those three cards I used the same pattern paper. I used that paper to the max (and still have scraps for a couple more cards... hmm, maybe I'll work on something today.. ).
The other thing I used is the scallop border punch (again, it's Ronit's border punch). I'm awful at punching with it, but I'll get it eventually.

And, last but not least:

Again, I used the "Thinking of You" sentiment that I cut with Ronit's Cricut machine.
For the background I stamped a lot of little heart in red and pink ink on a grey cardstock. I love that color combo.

Well, that's it for today.
I hope you liked it. Have a great day!

P.S.
I want to thank Ronit from the bottom of my heart - You're a true friend! And your stamps aren't so bad either... hehe...

Random Card Wednesday #12

Happy Wednesday everyone!

Today I have a RCW bonanza!

Over at the 2peas site there's an education section in which there are great classes in all sorts of topics related to scrapbooking and card making.

I decided to take Kristina's (yes, my idol) class: A Year in Cards.
Each month Kristina issues out a PDF file with skecthes and instruction along with a video tutorial. She teaches all sorts of technics and shows tools - super fun!

So, today, I'll show you the "homework" that I made for January's class (yes, I know... a bit late, but hey - I just got to know the class).
I made three cards for January. I just made one card for each scetch that we got (I'm not sure if I'm allowed to show the sketches so I won't. But you can hop over to 2peas and see for yourself).

The first card:
It's a 4 inch by 5 inch card made from vanilla cardstock.
I used a deep purple cardstock that I embossed with my birds and swirls embossing folder (from Cuttlebug). In addition, I used some ruby red circles (that I cut with my cuttlebug - I just love that machine!) as the base for the pink prima flowers.
Simple. Clean. Just the way I like it.

The second card:It's, again, a 4 inces by 5 inches card. I tried to keep the colors pretty much the same (except for that light green base). That gorgeous flower is a flower that Tamar got for me (thanks dear!).

And, last but certainly not least (It's my most favourite card out of those three), this is the third card:

It's a 3 inch by 3 inch card (I love that size!). I used my glitter gel pens to doodle at the edge and write over the stamped sentiment.

That's all for today, Have a great day guys!
Thanks for joining me today!

Random Card Wednesday #10

Happy Wednesday everyone!

Thank you for joining me again to the RCW #10 I have here on my blog.

Today, I'll show you another Bella card that I made (I told you that you'll be seeing a lot of them from now on):
For the card base, I used a very light polka dot yellow paper that I didn't know what to do with it. So I made a card with it.

I used a scrap of patterned orange cardstock that I had left from a project I'm working on right now (can't show it to you yet...). I sanded off the edges of it to expose the white core a bit.. I love that effect.
I stamped the Bella with Black Stazon ink and colored it with my Sharpies...

And, of course, as you can see, I used some foam adhesive tape for the stamped image... I just had to pop that Bella up.

Well, that's all for now. Thanks for looking!

Random Card Wednesday #9

Hello again,

I finally had some time this last weekend to create some cards so I have a brand new card to show you all:
This is a card that I made at Ronit's house on our last "get together" before all her exams kick in...

I used some craft cardstock for the base of the card and used some of Ronit's doodling stmaps on it. On top of that I added my new Bella stamp (yes, yes, I gave in and bought a few... so don't be surprised to see a lot of them from now on). I stamped my Bella on a vanilla cardstock and I used a bright pink for matting it. I'll have the whole recipe at the end of the post.

I just had to use some plain dimensionals to pop the Bella off the craft cardstock.

Now, I took the last picture just to show you the coloring that I've made (I had fun doing that!):

Card Recipe:
Cardstock colors: Craft, Bright Pink, Vanilla (no fancy brand name. just from the typical craft store here).
Stamps: Ballonabella (StampingBella); Dot Flourishes (Inkadinkado - Clear Stamps Set).
Inks: Green Galore, Real Red(All Stampin' Up!); Black (Stazon).
Accessories: Scallop border punch (Fiskars), Blender pen, Dimensionals.

Thanks for looking!
Have a great day!

Random Card Wednesday #7

Hi All!
How've been? I hope everyone had a great week so far.

Today I want to show you one of my most favorite cards that I made a few weeks ago.
I used some scraps of paper that I had left and didn't want to throw out because I love the pattern and colors of them:

I used a light blue prima flower that I adore and placed it on a round "platform" that I've created with my Nestabilities.
In the middle of the flower I use a white gem to add that additional sparkle that I was looking for.I use some Queen&Co letters for the sentiment. They're so cool! you can't see it in the picture but they have a glossy look&feel to them.

Hope you enjoyed the card for this week's RCW.

Thanks for looking!

Random Card Wednesday #5

For this week I have a cute card that I made with a Bella stamp (which you already know that I adore!!!).

I'll tell you how it started... My sweet friend, Ronit, had to make a card for a bachelorette party so I joined her in the process and we made some cards... well, she made a card and I made a card.. that's "some cards", right?

So, with that "wedding" theme in the air I made a cute card with one of the images from one of the wedding themed Bella stamps (I don't remember the name - sorry):
The letters were cut in Ronit's newly purchased Critcut. The thing is... I used white cardstock to cut those letters but when I looked at the card with white letters, something just wasn't right, d'you know what I mean? So, I colored them red with my Sharpies (gotta love those Sharpies).

I used some foam adhesive tape on this card to make the red "block" pop up a little bit more.

Since the stamped image was glued to the raised red "block", I didn't even had to use additional foam adhesive tape at the top of the stamped image:
The last picture just shows the coloring I've made with some water pencils. I love that soft look it gives:
Thanks for looking everyone!
I hope you had a great year and will have a wonderful new year!

Random Card Wednesday #3

For the third week of my RCW I decided to start the Kristina Werner's Color Inspirations from the start.

After looking through all the amazing color combos she has in her blog I choosed Color Inspiration #3:

And here's what I came up with:

It's a very simple card that I made from white cardstock the I ran through my Cuttlebug with my "birds & swirls" embossing folder.

Here's the card from anothr angle:

You can see that I used foam adhesive tape to raise the Prima flowers' "platforms".

I think it has a classic look. What do you think?

Random Card Wednesday #2

It's that time of the week again - RCW. YAY!!

To tell you the truth? I didn't think I'd have another card ready in time. But I do! I surprise myself once in a while... lol..

Anyway, on to the card. I decided to use some colors that I don't use generally.
So I used dark red, orange and blue.

I loved this card so much that I decided to take a bunch of it:

What do you think? I hope you like it.

Thanks for looking!

Can't stop. I'm on a roll.

Well it's midnight here, but I'm so glad I got another item off the list (and that I like it) - I had to post it...

So here we go, The next item off the list is my "SBS19 Birthday Card Swap".
This is my first greeting card swap so I've been waiting for it a long time.
Now, since we already agreed to show the cards we're making on our SBS19 group, I can post the card here as well.
This is the card I've created for Jennie (my swap partner):

This time I decided to try to do a card with no pattern paper on in (and it was hard).
Eventually, after adding the dots and little lines I was pretty happy with it (and I hope Jennie will be as well).
To the card I just had to add a little gift, since it's my first greeting card swap (did I mention it already? sorry, I'm excited!). So I used some cubes that I bought and didn't know why. I painted them white, wrapped them with pattern paper (I had to use some. I just had to.), And spelled Jennie's name on them.
Here's the result:

Jennie, I really hope you like it (and that you don't mind me posting it here...).
It will be on it's way to you tomorrow.
By the way, Remember the draw I had here some time ago?
"Shecould" (I know her name, I just don't know if she'll mind if I wrote it here) - You're prize will be on it's way to you tomorrow too. Sorry it took so long.

Have a great new week everyone!
Ifat.

Yay! Look at me!

Remember me telling you all about the tons of things I need to scrap this month?

Well, Yay! I'm getting there.

You already saw the card I made for my husband's birthday, now Iwant to show you what I made for my sister-in-law, Rina. She's my husband's twin sister. I think that she doesn’t even know I have a blog so no worries about her seeing her card and gift here.

On last Thursday I was at a mini album class. It was so much fun! We got together at my friend Diana's house and worked till the middle of the night (well, we need to go back home sometime, right?). So I decided I'm making the mini album as a gift for Rina' s birthday.
This is the results of my work that night:

And of course, a gift can't be given without a proper greeting card:

I made this card with matching colors (at least I tried to..) so I used a pattern paper that I love, a cute flower, and again GEMS !!!
By the way, maybe you've already guessed it but the words on the card says "Happy Birthday!" or "YOM HOOLEDET SAME-ACH!" in Hebrew...
Spend some time here - you'll eventually learn how to speak in Hebrew. lol..

July’s Events

Don’t know why but this year I have the busiest July I’ve ever had (as far as I can remember).
I celebrated my 25th birthday, I attended a stamping class and a “MiniAlbum” class, I have 3 birthday greeting cards to make for my husband, his twin sister and for the SBS swap and an additional wedding greeting card for Ronit’s & Ron’s wedding… That’s A LOT! Well, at least for me.
I still consider myself to be a beginner at scrapbooking so that amount of things to scrap scares me a bit, but I know I can do this.

So let’s start with the results:
First off is my dear husband’s birthday card. I still don’t have any idea what to get him for his birthday (ideas will be happily accepted - HELP!). So I decided to first do the card and then decide on the gift. I’m able to publish the card’s picture here because he rarely visits my blog. And if he does – Well, finally! Where have you been??? lol...

I made 2 swirly circles which said "Love You" in Hebrew and then I decided that it misses something... so I added another circle (a little smaller) and glued a pink flower on it.
I don't know if you've noticed but I love using gemstones on anything so I added some green ones on the flower and some deep pink ones on the ribbon and on the edges of the card. Just love them, they add some kind of *bling* to the card, don't you think?
Happy Birthday Honey, I Love You!

Weekend's Creations & Updates

First of all, About the contest (or the draw, whatever you want to call it). Be sure to activate your subscription via the mail sent to your inbox. That way I could see your email and include you in the draw.

So that's that.

Now, to my weekend's creations:
As you can see on my "To Scrap" list on the right, I didn't manage to make a greeting card for Ron & Lilach's wedding...
But I still created a greeting with a wedding theme.

And no, it's not the card for Ron & Ronit's wedding... Just in case you were wondering.
Anyway, I don't know if you've noticed but I tried to create with the circles something that would look like a wedding cake. That's why I added those cream-like dots.
I know, I know, this doesn't look quite like a cake. Well, I tried.

The other card I created was a "Thank You" greeting card:

As you can see, I'm very in to raised items on cards at the moment. I use foam adhesive tape a lot!
For the "Thank You!" I used a glitter gel pen after printing the phrase on to the deep purple cardstock.
That's all for this weekend. Have a lovely week everyone!
